Fall

From photo to digital art it was a project I finished in about a day. Snapped the photo then used a leaf of of the same tree as a brush and about 10 layers later came out with the final result. You can also view it in Promotional Media.

V

So in the spirit of things I gravitated towards a sketch I did a couple of years back. I was illustrating the cover from the 1932 black & white german film "Vampyr".
I put some new brushes & Photoshop skills to use. You can check it out in Promotional Media. Happy Halloween.

Egyptian Vector Art

A New piece has been added to Vector Art. A remake of ancient Egyptian art displayed on a temple doorway overhead.
Not much was required to make already outstanding art look good but a little artistic freedom on the wings and I couldn't stop till I was done....all in all it was cool subject matter to play with..

Self portrait

Last we were given the option on a self portrait for extra credit...I thought it would be a good way to put every thing I learned in class into practice.

Pointillism

Another project made to capture the basic colors of the original painting. Definitely a first but a method I continue to use.

Color swatch

This was an exercise in Pointillism using the same five basic colors: red, blue, yellow, white and black.

Color wheel

The following are some projects I did in my Design and Drawing classes. It felt good getting back to basics to better improve my all around style.

The color wheel was made in color pencil utilizing five basic colors: blue, red, yellow, white and black then mixing them accordingly.

Hieroglyphic Crest

Originally I thought it would make a cool tattoo. The text spells out my last name in Egyptian while the design was simple but had an appealing nature to me.
There are different color versions of it but
I favored this one at the time.
